- Lead and manage the Research Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality research and analysis.
- Supervise the production of research reports covering issuers, counterparties, brokers, sectors, and market developments.
- Conduct financial, credit, economic, and market analysis to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
- Develop and maintain investment views on economic trends, industries, and specific securities.
- Oversee issuer, counterparty, and broker reviews to ensure the investment universe consists of financially sound entities.
- Establish efficient research processes, systems, and data management practices to enhance team productivity and accuracy.
- Maintain and monitor financial, economic, and market data for research, reporting, and investment decision-making purposes.
- Prepare presentations and provide market insights to internal teams, institutional clients, and retail stakeholders.
- Support Fund Managers through portfolio analysis and serve as a backup in managing select portfolios when required.
- Mentor and develop research analysts to build a high-performing research team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Investment Research, Asset Management, Fund Management, Capital Markets, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, valuation techniques, credit analysis, and investment research methodologies.
- Proven leadership experience managing research teams or senior analysts.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment.
