A Scrum Master Senior Specialist, India facilitates a cross functional agile collaborative team in iterative technology development. As a recognized subject matter expert, this job advises the development team of scrum principles, confirms the team focus on sprint goals and achieves their highest performance level to ensure the scrum project is successfully progressed. This job works on the organization's largest and most complex scrum projects. This job has foundational knowledge in scrum principles to advise on scope changes, Quality Assurance and other more technical aspects of the project.

Responsibilities

• Manage each project’s scope and timeline.
• Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
• Coach team members in Agile frameworks
• Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
• Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from customers or stakeholders)
• Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
• Help teams implement changes effectively.
• Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
• Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
• Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it. Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system adoption, evaluating new capabilities against baseline metrics, crafting, owning, and updating roadmaps as needed.
• Work effectively with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
• Working with a development and business teams in an agile framework, reporting progress and plans to the Product Technology leadership.
• Reviews cost estimates of various system solutions and reviews project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
• Supporting the triage and resolution of production incidents
• Coaches and sometimes delegates work to colleagues.
• Helping software development teams apply the Scrum framework.
• Planning deliverables and helping teams monitor performance.
• Resolving issues that hinder the teams’ work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Global outlook and mind set. 
• 8+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role working at Financial Services, Asset Management organization leading business analysis and/or project management related to complex and strategically relevant projects.
• Has experience working on projects following SAFe methodology.
• Ability to guide user acceptance testing using standardized frameworks.
• Familiarity with software development methods.
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
